Noodle from Gorillaz: Plastic Beach Costume + Costumes Past!
I am an absolute Halloween fanatic and have really grown to love making my own costumes over the years. This post is dedicated to showing off my 2013 NYCC costume for the Gorillaz character Noodle (from their video Melancholy Hill), as well as some of my other costumes from the vault. Enjoy!
Noodle from Gorillaz (2013)
I owe it to this shift dress tutorial for helping me begin this process. The dress is made from white stretch denim and red cotton detailing. The oni mask is white craft foam and green acrylic paint. I constructed a couple loops for the strap so I could turn the mask from face to side without messing with the wig spikes.
Black Bat/Cassandra Cain (2012)
Constructed the bat mask, scarf, utility belt, and gold bat symbol.
Molotov Cocktease from Venture Bros. (2009)
I frankenstein-ed a few garments to make the catsuit; constructed the gun holsters (from old belts) and the eye patch (made from black leather).
Cruella De Ville (2008)
Created the red velvet dress with a dalmatian stole.
Batgirl/Cassandra Cain (2007)
One of my very first homemade costume adventures, I sewed the entire suit, cape, spiked gloves and crafted the bat mask and utility belt.
